What's Blooming?

Here at Marson Gardens we sell a large variety of flowers. Some are still blooming in my garden here in zone 4, one of my favorites are the Chelone.

Also known as the turtlehead, the Chelone comes in 3 colors:
  • purple
  • pink
  • white
These flowers can be grown in zones 4-9 and prefer moist partially shaded areas. They originally grew wild in marshy areas along
rivers and lakes. Blooms last about 4 weeks long giving your
garden a splash of color from late summer into fall.

The turtlehead is a perennial that usually grows 2-3 feet tall and spreads  1-3 feet out. The blooms are typically 1-11/2 inches giving you a great sized flowers.

What color will you choose?

How about all three? Plant the seedlings in the spring and have a beautiful garden in the summer. Plan ahead and you'll be amazed with the outcome of your garden.
