Fall Preperations for a Blooming Spring

Fall is one of the busiest times for gardeners. As we finish harvesting our crops it is now time to prepare for the long cold months a head. Spring is always better when there's a beautiful garden in bloom. Let's prepare your garden. Below is a list of tasks to get you started.
    • add compost or peat moss
    • till
    • plant fall bulbs
    • cover with leaves or mulch
By adding the compost or peat moss you will add nutrients back into the soil. Tilling just helps mix the dirt in. There are a lot of bulbs to choose from. I personally love purple tulips. Do you have a favorite?

Other tasks that you should remember to do include: cleaning and properly storing all of your tools to prevent rusting. Shut off and drain all water spigots that will not be used over the winter to prevent bursting pipes.

These are just a few helpful tips to help you prepare for winter. I you have any that you would like to add please feel free to voice them. Have a good week.
