Blooming with Rosemary!

Rosemary is not only a great addition to your favorite dish. It is also known to it boosts our memory and helps to prolong  Alzheimer’s disease. Simply sniffing this wonderful herb can increase your memory by 75%. Rosemary has been thought of as a herb of remembrance for so long that Shakespeare even referred to rosemary in his play Hamlet. “There’s rosemary, that’s for remembrance.”
Rosemary has a delightful aroma and blossoms with pretty purple flowers. You can add it to your flowerbed to detour fleas and mosquitos. This evergreen grows best in full sunlight and needs little water to survive. Bringing your rosemary indoors during the winter is a good idea if you do not want it damaged by the snow.

Rosemary has many other uses as well. When infused with grape seed oil it can be applied topically to improve skin conditions. It is also used to relieve stress, aid in digestion, and stimulate hair follicles.  If you are pregnant you should not ingest this herb. Here at Marson Gardens we plan on working with this herb and a few others. Stay tuned to find out what we learn.
